Man dies after being electrocuted by power line in Fairfax Co.

FALLS CHURCH, Va. — A man died after he was electrocuted by a power line Tuesday evening around 8:14 p.m. 

Detectives believe Jacinto Diaz, 41, was trimming trees in the 3400 block of Surry Lane in Falls Church, Virginia, when he made contact with the live power line, a Fairfax County Police press release said.

Officers and fire and rescue personnel responded to the call of the possible electrocution, but had to wait for Dominion Power to arrive and deactivate the line. 

Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:37 p.m., the release said.

This incident is being investigated as an accident.
