Man dead after found unresponsive in Arlington County park

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Homicide/Robbery Unit at 703-228-4180.

ARLINGTON COUNTY, Va. — A man has died after being found unresponsive in a park in Arlington County Friday night, leading to a suspicious death investigation by the police department.

Officers with the Arlington County Police Department responded to Columbia Pike at South Four Mile Run Drive in Arlington just after 10 p.m. for a report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, officers found a man unresponsive in the park.

Medical officials performed lifesaving measures on the man before taking him to a local hospital, but unfortunately he was pronounced dead. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.

Police have not released the identity of the man, this includes his name and age. The events leading up to the death also remain under investigation.
