ALEXANDRIA (WUSA9) – A man was charged in a fatal Virginia shooting Thursday evening.
Police say 21-year-old Rashad Lonzell Adkis of Alexandria is charged in the death of Shakkan Elliot-Tibbs who died from serious injuries sustained during a shooting.
The incident occurred in the 700 block of N. Fayette Street on July 2, 2015.
Adkins is being charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
He is being held without bond in Alexandria.
