29-year-old charged with indecent exposure at mall stores

Jamall Mathis, 29, is accused of exposing himself inside Fair Oaks Mall and Springfield Mall.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A 29-year-old  Maryland man has been arrested and charged in two separate indecent exposure incidents that occured at two Virginia malls over a three-month period. 

Jamall Mathis, 29, is accused of exposing himself inside stores at Fair Oaks Mall and Springfield Mall.  

Around 5 p.m. on Jan. 11, Fairfax County Police officers responded to a Spencer's store at Fair Oaks Mall for a report of a man exposing himself. Mathis was identified by officers assigned to the mall as the man responsible.

After he was deemed a suspect in that exposure incident, FCPD officers assigned to the Springfield Mall identified Mathis as the person ivolved in an exposure incident on Oct. 12, 2023 at a Five Below store inside the mall. 

Mathis has been charged with two counts of indecent exposure and was held on a secured bond. He has since been released.
