MANASSAS, Va. — A man wanted on several active felony warrants out of Ohio was arrested Wednesday after an hours-long barricade situation in Manassas.
At 9:53 a.m., Manassas City Police responded to Phair Way near the intersection of Gateway Boulevard for a report of a suspicious person in a semi-truck who had been parked on the property for several weeks. At the scene, officers tried to speak with the person in the truck who would only speak to officers through a vent.

Further investigation revealed Damien Lee, 43, was the person in the truck and that he had several active felony warrants from Ohio including the theft of the semi-truck he was in.
When Lee refused to comply with officers and get out of the truck, the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) and Emergency Services Unit (ESU) were activated and took over contact with Lee. Crisis negotiators attempted to get Lee to surrender peacefully for several hours but were unsuccessful.
At 5 p.m., first responders were able to reestablish contact with Lee and take him into custody without injury. The investigation into this barricade situation is active and ongoing.
Lee is currently being held without bond at the Prince William Juvenile Detention Center. He is charged with grand theft auto fugitive from justice.
