Is this your bunny?

ARLINGTON, VA -- Are you missing a purple/gray stuffed bunny with stars on the inside of its ears? If so, your lost bunny and the Arlington Department of Environmental Services (DES) have been looking for you.

In search of its owner, the lost bunny has set out on many adventures since being found in the compost/recycling/trash after Taste of Arlington on May 21.

Despite the outpouring of community support, the lost bunny has not been claimed. To help the search, Arlington DES took their furry friend to the county's GIS Mapping Center.

Unfortunately, the bunny was still unable to locate its owner using the county's maps so they moved on to Arlington's transportation center. There was no luck there either.

With great sadness, the lost bunny then began searching for its owner by sweeping the city's streets with the Arlington Street Sweeping crew. Again, the poor bunny hopped away, no closer to finding its owner.

The persistent bunny plowed forward, searching for any information on its owners whereabouts with the help of the city's snow removal plows.

After tremendous efforts, the search was called off, mainly because of showers and storms and the snow plows were of no use in the rain.

The search continued. This time the bunny began searching around the County Earth Products Yard for any clues, but nothing was found that would help the search.

Arlington DES and the lost bunny are continuing to search for its owners. If this is your bunny, please end its heartbreak by contacting Arlington DES.

Did we mention the lost bunny is a Caps fan? Possibly the biggest bunny Caps fan in the D.C. area.
