LINCOLNIA, Va. — Police are investigating after a juvenile was shot in Lincolnia Tuesday night.
According to information posted to X, formerly Twitter, by Fairfax County Police shortly before 8:30 p.m., the shooting happened near Braddock Road and Overlook Drive.
When officers arrived, they found a person shot in the arm. That victim was later identified as a juvenile. He was taken to an area hospital for help and is expected to survive.
No suspect information has been released at this time and the motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
Police do not believe the shooting to be a random attack.
