CLIFTON, Va. (WUSA9) – A K9 helped catch a man after Fairfax County Police said he fled the scene of a crash.
A little before 4 a.m. Monday, officers responded to Braddock Road near Union Mill Road after reports of a crash. According to officials, Michael Laforest, 29, drove his car off the road and fled the scene into a wooded area.
Police located Laforest later on Old Clifton Road. After Laforest failed to listen to the K9 Team's commands, he was bitten by the K9 and arrested. He was treated for a non-life threatening injury.
Laforest was charged with his fourth DWI, driving on a revoked license, misdemeanor hit-and-run and revocation of license for multiple conviction of DWI.
