ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Police are investigating after the driver of a vehicle allegedly attempted to run over a person in Alexandria Monday evening.
Officers with the Alexandria Police Department responded to Holmes Run Parkway and Ripley Street, according to a 6:19 p.m. social post, after a report of a crash in the area which resulted in blocked traffic. The vehicle involved dodged a traffic stop and crashed into a guardrail.
According to police, the driver left the vehicle, but was captured.
At the location, a victim informed authorities that the suspect in the case, who was driving the vehicle, attempted to run her over on King Street near Park Center Drive. No injuries were reported as a result of the alleged crime.
No information has been released about the suspect in the case, including details about any forthcoming charges.
