LOVINGSTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- DNA testing by the FBI shows there is no link between Jesse Matthew and the murder and abduction of Alexis Murphy, according to Anthony Martin, the Commonwealth's Attorney for Nelson County.
The press release was released Friday by the Commonwealth's Attorney for Nelson County.
In October 2014, Jesse Matthew was arrested in connection with the disappearance of UVa student Hannah Graham.
The attorney for Randy Allen, who was convicted of the August 2013 murder of Alexis Murphy, requested Jesse Matthew be tested in order to determine whether or not he was involved in the case.
The DNA evidence shows that there is no credible evidence linking Jesse Matthew to the abduction and murder of Alexis Murphy, the Commonwealth's attorney said.
