ARLINGTON, Va. — Police are investigating after a crash forced a car off the road, hitting two children on the sidewalk in Arlington Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Arlington County Police Department, the crash happened shortly before 3:15 p.m. near S. Carlin Springs Rd. and 3rd St. S.
Investigators say two vehicles were involved in the initial crash that caused one of the cars to leave the road and hit two children on the sidewalk. Officials have not given any more information regarding the victims' ages.
The two children were taken to an area hospital and are both expected to survive.
The people involved in the crash did stop and remained at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
