Three $50,000 winning lottery tickets purchased in Virginia are set to expire next Tuesday.
A Virginia Lottery spokesperson said the tickets are from the “most massive lottery drawing in history.”
During the January $1.5 billion Powerball drawing there were more than 700,000 winning tickets in Virginia, 20 of them each won $50,000. Three of those 20 are still unclaimed, a Virginia Lottery spokesperson said.
The three tickets were purchased at:
- 7-Eleven, 9402 Richmond Highway, Lorton, Va.
- La Bodega Supermarket, 6170 Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church, Va.
- Fas Mart, 409 Quillen Avenue SE, Coeburn, Va.
According to the Virginia Lottery, the winning numbers for the January drawing are: 4, 8, 19, 27 and 34. The Powerball number is 10. Each of the winning tickets in the $50,000 bracket matched four of the first five numbers plus the Powerball number.
By law, winning tickets in Virginia expire 180 days after the drawing.
The Virginia Lottery puts all unclaimed prizes into the Virginia Literary Fund, which is used for educational purposes.
