The shooting in Dumfries happened on Nov. 12 and nearly a month later, police are still searching for the suspect.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Editor's Note: The video above is from previous coverage published on Nov. 12, the day of the shooting.

The death of a 44-year-old Woodbridge man named Demetrious Graham has kicked off a manhunt for the suspect who shot him in a truck in early November, startling neighbors.

Graham was found in the driver's seat of a car early that Saturday morning in the area of Williamstown Road and Old Triangle Road.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect - a man - wearing no shirt with his face covered walking along the sidewalk. The man then fires multiple rounds toward Graham’s truck as it drives by. The suspect then ran away, according to police, as the truck rolled across the roadway before running into a parked vehicle.

Police are now offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved in this death.

Multiple callers reported hearing several gunshots in the area, according to police, and once officers were on the scene, they found the car shot and the man inside.

“I personally heard the shots this morning,” the President of the homeowners association in South Cove, Ebony Lofton told WUSA9.

WUSA9 crew members saw the passenger window of the black truck shattered from the bullets. Lofton said the shooting has startled her and her neighbors.

“The sound was very loud and unexpected and isolated. I heard seven shots that went off and then that’s it,” she said.
