Person hospitalized, 4 dogs dead in Fairfax Co. house fire

There is no word on what caused the fire at this time.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A person was taken to an area hospital after a house fire in Chantilly that left four dogs dead.

According to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue says the fire broke out in the 4700 block of Leighfield Valley Drive Wednesday night. 

Firefighters have since gotten the flames under control. There is no word on what caused the fire at this time.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue says one person was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive. Sadly, four dogs were found dead following the fire. 

No firefighters were injured.
