A blue wave took over part of the state of Virginia on election night with Democratic candidates winning highly-contested races.
All eyes were on Va-District 10 where Jennifer Wexton defeated Congresswoman Barbara Comstock and on Va-District 7 where Democrat Abigail Spanberger defeated Republican Dave Brat.
Democratic incumbent Tim Kaine won re-election in the Virginia Senate race by defeating Republican Corey Stewart. This will be Kaine's second term.
