UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County Sheriff's Department arrested a man for attempted first degree murder Saturday.
Authorities said an indictment was issued by the Circuit Court of Prince George's County on May 30, 2014.
Kevin Coffey was in a house in Capitol Heights, Md. on June 14, when authorities tried to arrest him in the 900 block of Logwood Road in Capitol Heights, Md.
When deputies got to the house, a woman grabbed a child and ran inside, authorities said. Deputies entered the home when a person tried to exit the house through a side door. According to authorities, they found the suspect in an upstairs bathroom.
Coffey was arrested and is being charged with assault first degree, assault second degree, use of handgun in commission of a violent crime, transport handgun on roadway, and conspiracy of murder first degree.
