TYSONS CORNER, Va. (WUSA9) -- Frequent flyers who want to sign up for a TSA Pre-Check plan in Virginia no longer have to make a trip to the airport to enroll in the program.
A second North Virginia DMV office opened a new TSA Pre-Check center inside the Fredericksburg DMV on Tuesday.
Anyone can go to the Fredericksburg or Tysons Corner DMV and go through the background checks necessary to qualify for TSA Pre-Check.
Signing up for TSA Pre-Check gives customers an expedited security screening process instead of waiting in traditional TSA lines at the airport.
By the end of the year, nine DMV offices will have TSA Pre-Check centers in Virginia. The locations in North Virginia include Tysons Corner, Fredericksburg and Leesburg. Customers don’t have to live in Virginia to take advantage of the new TSA Pre-Check locations.
Even if you live in another state, like D.C. or Maryland, you can go to the Virginia DMV’s to sign-up.
