Trains single tracking through Friendship Heights Metro

D.C. firefighters have responded to the Friendship Heights Metro Station on Thursday morning.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. firefighters have responded to the Friendship Heights Metro Station on Thursday morning.

Spokesperson Tim Wilson said that they were called there because an insulator near the station caused minor problems.

One of the tracks was shut down as a Metro personnel worked to fix the problem. Although fire crews were called to the scene they were not needed.

The station never closed during the incident.
