The incident happened in the 1500 block of North Longfellow Street just after 4 p.m.

ARLINGTON, Va. — Police responded to a crash that left a toddler seriously injured Wednesday evening in Arlington.

The incident happened in the 1500 block of North Longfellow Street just after 4 p.m. The car did remain on the scene, police said.

Police have not yet released any additional information on the toddler or what could have led to the crash.

In a similar incident last month, a toddler died and four adults were seriously injured in a crash involving three cars on Oct. 21. Montgomery County Fire Rescue responded to the three-car collision at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Dexter Avenue.

Police said the driver of a Ford was turning left from northbound Georgia Ave. onto Dexter Ave. and hit both an Acura and a Honda. The impact caused the Acura to skid off the road and hit a brick wall.
