CARROLLTON, Texas — A miles-long road rage spat between two drivers on Interstate 35E in North Texas ended with one of the drivers ramming the other's vehicle into a concrete barrier.
A witness shared video he captured of the incident, which came to a head on I-35E in Carrollton on Tuesday afternoon.
The video showed an SUV trying to drive around a sedan, which began to drive in front of the SUV. The driver of the SUV responded by veering into the sedan, which then rammed the SUV into the concrete barrier on the right side of the highway. The SUV went up onto the barrier, and that's where the video ended.
The man who took the video, Chase McCrea, told WFAA that the drivers of the two vehicles had been fighting along the highway for miles.
"They were yelling at each other and flipping each other off," McCrea said. "Then they started throwing drinks, and that's when I knew I might want to film. Because they were throwing Big Gulps and Arizona cans at each other."
It's unclear what happened to the two drivers. Carrollton police did not have any information on the incident, so it's unclear if a report was ever filed or if anyone was injured in the crash.
AAA Texas ahead of this holiday season warned drivers about road rage incidents. The company said 32% of driver make rude gestures on the road, while 25% speed up to keep someone else from passing them. AAA warned driver to avoid doing that to prevent road rage dangers.
