Women arrested for robbery, assault in Takoma Park

According to police, a woman was approached by three females in the 7300 block of Carroll Avenue at 9:50 p.m. Sunday. They assaulted her and stole property.

TAKOMA PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Takoma Park police have arrested three young women for a robbery and assault on Sunday.

According to police, a woman was approached by three females in the 7300 block of Carroll Avenue at 9:50 p.m. Sunday. They assaulted her and stole property.

The victim "did not suffer any major physical harm," according to police in a press release.

The three young women were located later on Carroll Avenue.

Twenty-year-old Jasmine Ward of Silver Spring, 19-year-old Taresha Pendarvis of Burtonsville, and a 15-year-old from Silver Spring (not named because she is a juvenile) are charged with Strong Arm Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Strong Arm Robbery, Attempt Robbery, Assault and Conspiracy to Commit Assault.

Ward and Pendarvis were transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit while the juvenile was released to the custody of a parent, say police.
