The Montgomery County Council is scheduled to get an update on issues relating to the explosion and fire at a Silver Spring apartment complex that killed seven people last month.
The hearing is set for Tuesday afternoon in Rockville.
Earl Stoddard, director of the county's Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is scheduled to provide information. Scott Goldstein, the county's fire chief, also is scheduled to attend, as well as Thomas Manger, the county's police chief.
The Aug. 10 explosion happened at the Flower Branch apartments.
Investigators with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have said that a buildup of natural gas caused the explosion.
