ROCKVILLE, Md. - Firefighters are working to put out what’s left of a fire at a large recycling location in Rockville, Maryland.
It started Friday afternoon at Georgetown Paper Stock at 14820 Southlawn Lane, near E. Gude Drive. Fire crews were seen attacking the smoldering pile of recyclables from several angles.
The view from Sky9 showed a large charred pile of items, about a block long. The fire was out, but smoke continued to rise out of the pile.
The plant included large amounts of recycling cardboard, paper and cloth material, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue reported.
