WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- A woman is being held in jail without bond after allegedly whipping a 14-year-old girl with a coaxial cable and an electrical extension cord.
Prince William County police say that the beating happened on November 12 at a home in Woodbridge.
Thirty-three-year-old Belky Maria Bonilla-Palacias is accused of getting into an argument that turned physical with the girl. The girl received bruises and laceration to her back, legs and lower body, say police. She reported the incident to school officials, who then notified child protective services and police.
Bonilla-Palacias is charged with malicious wounding and felony child abuse.
