Police shoot 2 dogs who attacked woman in Southeast, DC

The woman was taken to a hospital, her injuries were not life-threatening.

WASHINGTON -- A woman was hospitalized after being attacked by two dogs in Southeast, D.C., police said.

Around 1:21 p.m. Wednesday, D.C. police officers found the dogs attacking the woman in the 3600 block of Minnesota Avenue. 

An officer shot the dogs, killing one of them. Police said the other dog was taken to the Humane Rescue Alliance for treatment.

The woman was taken to a hospital and officers say her injuries were not life-threatening.
