BALTIMORE (WUSA9) -- A small business jet experienced a brake failure upon arrival at BWI Airport Tuesday morning, according to the FAA.

FAA officials say the pilot of a Cessna Citation, C560, twin-engine jet landing on Runway 15L reported a brake failure. The plane then ran off the departure end of the runway at 8:10 a.m.

Airport spokesperson Jonathan Dean says the front nose gear of the plane went off the runway into the grass, but no one was injured.

The words "United States of America" were written on the side of the plane. The plane was being operated by U.S. Army personnel, according to federal aviation officials.

Commercial operations were not impacted by the incident.

The FAA is investigating the incident.
