It's been 4 years since DC girl Relisha Rudd was reported missing.
She was 8 years old at the time and was last seen alive on March 1, 2014 with her alleged abductor 51-year-old Khalil Tatum -- a janitor at the DC shelter where Relisha and her family lived. She wasn't reported missing to police until March 19.
Relisha would be 12 years old today and preparing for her 13th birthday this October.
On March 19, 2014 -- that was the first time the Metropolitan Police Department would learn Relisha was even missing.

She had missed 30 days of school, so officials notified police.
On March 20, Tatum's wife was found dead in a hotel room with a gunshot wound to her head.

And days later, Tatum was found dead in Kenilworth Park. He shot himself and took anything he knew about Relisha's whereabouts to the grave.
Over the years, several searches by DC police, Relisha's family and community activists have not lead to any answers.
Recently, MPD searched the Anacostia River on January 26 with a dive team after a tip suggested they search for her there.
And, although hundreds of tips have come in over the years -- there's still no sign of Relisha.
DC Police have kept this an open case -- and recently assigned a new person to it.
Relisha's mom Shamika Young hasn't been interviewed since WUSA9's Lesli Foster interviewed her last May, but she did appear on the The Steve Wilkos Show several months ago where she said, "I talk to the police day to day and they never discuss me [as a suspect] they talk about other people."
When Lesli interviewed Young she said the last person she gave Relisha to was her mother, Melissa Young. Young is not convinced that Tatum harmed her daughter.
