PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- It's time to get creative! The Prince George's County Fire and EMS Department needs your help naming a new pink ambulance.
The ambulance, which has been painted pink for breast cancer awareness, will respond from College Park Station 812 near the University of Maryland.
The department is accepting ideas until the end of July. They're looking for a one or two word nickname that's professional and creative.
Heads up - the department already has a pink firetruck named "PINKY."
If you submit the winning nickname, you'll receive an official uniform pink shirt that is worn by Prince George's County Firefighter/Medics during the month of October.
The ambulance costs approximately $250,000 and is one of nine units that the department will receive this year.
