FAIRFAX, Va., -- Fairfax County First Responders are warning drivers not to drive through flooded roadways after multiple swift water rescues on Saturday evening.
There were at least four separate rescues across the county following several days of record rainfall.
Emergency crews said they responded to the following locations for report of people stranded in their vehicles: Woodburn Road at Robey Avenue, Fairfax Station Road at Moon Patterns Trail, Old Courthouse Road at Besley Road and Chapel Road at Cold Point Road.
No injuries were reported in the rescues, according to officials.
Fairfax County Fire Department says the following roads are now closed due to weather:
Newman Road at Colchester Road
Popes Head Road at Fairfax County Parkway
Old Courthouse Road at Besley Road
Woodburn Road at Spicewood Drive
Woodburn Road at Robey Avenue
Browns Mill Road at Pennycress Lane
Burke Lake Road at Kilkenny Lane
Burke Lake Road at Jeremiah Court
New Guinea Road at Colony View Drive
Hunter Mill Road at Lawyers Road
Clifton Road at Stringfellow Road
Waples Mill Road at Oakton Road
Waples Mill Road at Bronzdale Drive
Lee Highway at Stringfellow Road
