CALIFORNIA, Md. — Deputies in St. Mary's County are renewing calls for information about a missing man last seen a year ago. Investigators said no piece of information is too small in the search for Daniel Lewis Edwards.
Edwards, 56, was last seen leaving a job site in the Town Creek neighborhood of California, Maryland on Oct. 20, 2023. Since he vanished last year, investigators say they have since uncovered suspicious circumstances surrounding his disappearance. Further details have not been made public.
Edwards is described as about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170 pounds. He was born in September 1967. His family reported him missing after they were unable to contact him. No one has heard from him since.
Edwards' sister, Lara Istvan asked the community for help finding her brother.
"Any bit of information that you might have, even if it seems insignificant, may be able to help us. So please, if you have any information, please reach out," she said.
Those who have information about Edwards' whereabouts should contact Detective Taylore Nauman at 301-475-4200, ext. 8109 or email Taylore.Nauman@stmaryscountymd.gov.
