CLIFTON, Va. — A 9-year-old boy was found shortly after Virginia State Police released a CODI Alert Friday.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, the 9-year-old had last been seen near the intersections of Sequoia Lea Drive and Union Mill Road in Clifton around 4 p.m. Friday.
Virginia State Police issued a CODI Alert on behalf of the boy's disappearance. The agency said he was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a yellow and blue striped shirt, navy blue sweatpants and a hedgehog backpack.
"This disappearance poses a credible threat to his/her health and safety as determined by the investigating agency," VSP said in the CODI Alert.
WUSA9 confirmed the boy had been found safe around 11:15 p.m.
