Woman wanted for check fraud in Montgomery County

The woman has been described as being in her 60s or 70s, with a slim build and dark shoulder-length hair.

BETHESDA, Md. — A woman is wanted in Montgomery County after she committed check fraud at a bank in September 2023.

Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police determined through an investigation that a woman entered FVCBank, located on Arlington Road, in Bethesda and cashed a check using fraudulent identification on Sept. 20. She then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The woman has been described as being in her 60s or 70s, with a slim build and dark shoulder-length hair. She was carrying a brown or black purse, and wearing a brown sweater, light colored pants and black shoes.
