LANHAM, Md. — A woman is facing charges after her 21-year-old son was found stabbed to death inside a Lanham home in January.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit, officers were called to the 8000 block of Greenfield Drive for reports of a stabbing at 7:15 a.m. on Jan. 25.
When police arrived, they found Cristos Johnson inside a home suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators claim Johnson was stabbed by his mother during an argument inside the home they shared. Police arrested 42-year-old Querida Rivera for her son's death, charging her with first-degree murder and other related charges. She was taken into custody the day her son died and currently remains at the Department of Corrections.
