The suspect in the deadly Capital Gazette office building shooting was put on suicide watch on Friday after he appeared in court earlier in the day.
Jarrod Ramos, 38, of Laurel, Md. has been charged with five counts of first-degree murder after police say he shot and killed five Capital Gazette employees in Annapolis, Md. on Thursday.
On Friday, a judge ordered Ramos to be held without bond.
A prosecutor said Ramos had an escape plan after Thursday's shooting, that he was never able to carry out.

The prosecutor also said Ramos barricaded the only other door to the newsroom so that the employees couldn't escape.

- Late 2009 or early 2010 -- Jarrod Ramos contacts a female high school classmate on social media and begins communicating via emails.
- April 2010 -- Emails become disturbing and recipient begins documenting the emails.
- Jan. 17, 2011 -- Application for statement of charges if filed, stemming from alleged harassment in emails.
- July 26, 2011 – Jarrod Ramos pleaded guilty in Anne Arundel County on a charge of criminal harassment and got a 90-day suspended jail sentence.
- July 31, 2011 – Capital Gazette prints a story about Jarrod Ramos. The story described a harrowing situation of a woman who was continually harassed by Ramos after he contacted her on Facebook.

- June 28, 2018 2:33 p.m. – Shooting at Capital Gazette newspaper office building
- June 28, 2018 2:34 p.m. – Police respond to the shooting scene
- June 28, 2018 2:37 p.m. – Ramos tweets, "F---- you, leave me alone."
- June 28, 2018 2:38 p.m. – Police close in on Ramos and take him into custody.
- June 28, 2018 4:00 p.m. -- Police confirmed 5 five had been shot and killed while two others were injured.
- June 28, 2018 8:00 p.m. -- Police give an update and say the shooting was a "targeted" attack on Capital Gazette.
- June 28, 2018 9:00 p.m. -- CBS News names Jarrod Ramos as suspected gunman.
- June 28, 2018 10:00 p.m. -- Police release names of victims killed in the shooting.
- June 28, 2018 5:00 a.m. -- Police identify Ramos as the suspected gunman.
