LANDOVER HILLS, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police are searching for a suspect who pretended to have a bomb and then robbed a Capital One Bank in Landover Hills, Md. Friday afternoon.
The robbery happened at the bank located at 6206 Annapolis Road, authorities said.
The suspect is being described as a black man with a mustache. He was wearing a hat, sunglasses, a long sleeved gray shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident. He was carrying a box under his arm, authorities added.
During the robbery the suspect handed the clerk a note demanding money and saying that the box had a bomb in it. The suspect stole the money and then fled. He left the box at the bank.
Prince George's County police bomb squad x-rayed the box and learned that there was nothing inside. Nobody was injured.
