Police search for driver in deadly Prince George's County hit-and-run crash

Police say a man was found dead in the area of Riggs Road and University Boulevard early Saturday morning.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — A man is dead after he was hit by a car early Saturday in Prince George's County, and police are still searching for the driver responsible.

According to Prince George's County Police, officers were called to the area of Riggs Road and University Boulevard in Langley Park for a report of a collision involving a pedestrian around 3:20 a.m. Saturday. Once on scene, they found a man in the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the driver involved in the crash did not remain on the scene, and police are still searching for that driver. Anyone who may have information about this crash, or the driver involved, is urged to call Prince George's County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.

Police are still investigating to figure out the circumstances leading up to the crash, as well as the cause of the crash.

Additional information, including the identity of the man killed, has not yet been made public.
