PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. — The Prince George's County Police Department is issuing a warning to drivers after pulling someone over and finding approximately 13 pounds of marijuana in their car.
On Wednesday, Fort Washington officers partnered with Maryland State Troopers on a traffic enforcement initiative focused on Route 210. The goal was to stop anyone speeding.
During the initiative, police conducted 130 traffic stops and issued 71 citations
One driver was taken into custody on a drug-related charge after officers and troopers found approximately 13 pounds of marijuana in his car.
Both agencies say they plan on partnering up again soon to conduct another traffic enforcement initiative.
