Police identify body of 16-year-old believed to be dumped in Stafford Co. after being killed in Maryland home

Police believe the victim was killed at a home in Prince George's County, Md. before his remains were driven to Stafford County.

STAFFORD, Va. — Authorities have identified a body that was found in Stafford County, Va. on Saturday as a 16-year-old from Falls Church, Va. 

The 16-year-old has been identified as Jacson Chicas, police said. 

On Saturday around 5 a.m., police said the body of a murder victim was located in a grassy, remote area in Stafford County.

Police released a photo of the victim's tattoo in hopes that someone would be able to identify him.

After an investigation, police have determined that Chicas was killed inside of a home located in the 7000 block of Varnum Street in Landover Hills, Md. in Prince George's County. Police say his remains were then driven to Stafford County.

Police do not believe this was random crime and the investigation is still ongoing.
