WALDORF, Md. (WUSA9) – A woman and a 17-year-old who were caught on camera stuffing Victoria Secret merchandise into garbage bags have been identified, the Charles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The suspects have been identified as Alexis Preston and a 17-year-old whose name has not been released.
Around 8 p.m. on April 27, the two went into the Victoria’s Secret at the St. Charles Town Center in Waldorf. Once inside, both took several items off of the front entrance rack and put them into large bags and fled.
A passerby was able to catch the act on camera. In the video, one of the women curses out the person shooting the cell phone video. She is later heard saying “I’m doing it for our kids” before running from the store and down the mall corridor.
