BELTSVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- A pedestrian was fatally struck by a private snow plow on Route 1 early Thursday morning, Maryland State police said.
The person was hit on Route 1 at Naples Avenue around 12:20 a.m., authorities said. Police said the driver of the snow plow left the scene and the person was pronounced dead at the scene. According to authorities, the driver was stopped by Laurel police about 30 minutes after the incident.
