New father, football player's life cut short after fatal shooting in Prince George's Co.

His former coach at Bullis in Potomac, Md. said the 22-year-old was an amazing young man who he will never forget.

Tyamonee Johnson had so much to live for. 

The 22-year-old was a new dad, getting a Master's Degree and about to get married.

The college football player's life was cut short on Sunday, when he was shot and killed in Prince George's County. 

The Bullis School alumni was visiting home for the holidays.

Prince Georges County police said 21-year-old Rondell Fletcher shot Johnson several times in Oxon Hill, Md. Sunday night during a fight over someone. 

Fletcher was charged with first and second-degree murder. 

Police haven't released anymore details about the shooting. 

Johnson had just graduated from Wagner College where he played football. He recently signed on to play football again as a fifth year senior while pursuing a Master's in business.

Johnson was on academic and athletic scholarship and had just become a new father. His former coach at Bullis in Potomac, Md. said Johnson was an amazing young man who he will never forget.

"Working on his masters, had a beautiful 10-month-old baby girl, somebody took his life away, senseless, it's just getting out of control," said Coach Ray Butler.

A GoFundMe account has been started for Johnson's daughter. Butler said that Wagner Football players are trying to organize a bus to attend Johnson's funeral.
