GAITHERSBURG, Md. — A man working as a pharmacy delivery driver has been arrested for sexual assault in Montgomery County. Investigators are now asking for any additional victims to come forward.
Montgomery County Police say the assault happened on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Officers responded to a residence on East-West Highway for a report of sexual assault that occurred earlier. A woman told officers she had been assaulted by a man, later identified as 64-year-old Yuriy Ravdugin.
Ravdugin is accused of entering the woman's home and forcibly touching her. Special Victims Investigations Division detectives were able to identify Ravdugin as the wanted man and obtained a warrant for his arrest on Jan. 16. He was arrested the next day in Takoma Park, while making deliveries.
Ravdugin faces charges of second-degree assault and sexual offenses. He is currently being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he awaits a bond hearing.
Detectives encourage anyone with additional information or any potential victims to contact them at 240-773-5050 or call Crime Solvers at Montgomery County at 240-773-5050.
