MORNINGSIDE, Md. — A man has been charged with first-degree murder for a domestic-related homicide inside a Maryland laundromat on Tuesday.
Officers responded around 12:30 p.m. for a call about a stabbing at a laundromat in the 4900 block of Allentown Road – across from Joint Base Andrews.
When they arrived, officers found a woman inside the laundromat who had been stabbed. She died at the scene. Police later identified the woman as 39-year-old Yesenia Jaramillo Sosa
A man, identified as Sosa's boyfriend, also had stab wounds at the laundromat. A preliminary investigation revealed he stabbed himself after killing Sosa, who worked at the laundromat. Police say the man, 42-year-old John Marin Morales, remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are still working to determine the motive behind the stabbing. Anyone who has additional information is asked to call police at 301-516-2512.
