1 man dead, another person injured after shooting in Prince George's County

Police arrived at the scene around 2:20 a.m. after receiving the report of the shooting.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — A man has died and another person is suffering from injuries after a shooting in Prince George's County early Wednesday morning.

Officers with the Prince George's County Police Department responded to Old Branch Avenue, off of Allentown Road, in Temple Hills around 2:20 a.m. after a report of a shooting in the area. Once at the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a local hospital to be treated, but he was later pronounced dead due to the injuries he sustained, according to police. He has been identified by police as a 26-year-old named Christopher Earl Wilson, from Capitol Heights. 

There was also a second person who was found shot at the scene when police arrived. Their injuries have been described as non-life-threatening and they are said to be in stable condition.

No details have been released regarding the identity of the second person injured in this shooting.
