Fire at Days Inn in Prince George's County leaves man dead

Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the blaze.

CAMP SPRINGS, Md. — A fire at a Camp Springs hotel has left a man dead Monday morning.

Firefighters with the Prince George's County Fire and EMS Department responded to a Days Inn, located at 5151 Allentown Road, around 7:40 a.m. after a report of a fire at the location. Upon arrival, they were able to locate the flames in a second-floor unit. 

Firefighters found a man inside the unit and removed him. He died at the location. No information has been released about the identity of the man, this includes his name, age, and where he is from.

The fire has since been put out. No other injuries were reported as a result of the fire. 

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the deadly fire.
