PGCPS offering free summer meal program to students

Breakfast will be served from 9-9:30 a.m. and lunch from noon to 1 p.m.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — Many kids rely on meals from their schools during the academic year, but just because doors are closed for the summer doesn't mean they will not be able to eat.

Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) is offering a free summer meal service at 25 school sites for children under 18. It will run from June 24 through Aug. 9. 

Breakfast will be served from 9-9:30 a.m. and lunch from noon to 1 p.m. The meals have to be eaten on site, and dates and times are subject to change.

Breakfast: 9 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. 
Lunch: Noon - 1p.m.

  • Beltsville Library from 1-2 p.m.
  • Bladensburg Library from 1-2 p.m.
  • Fairmont Heights from 1-2 p.m.
  • Glenarden Library from  1-2 p.m.
  • Hyattsville Library from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
  • Hillcrest Heights from 1-2 p.m.
  • New Carrollton Library from 1-2 p.m.
  • Oxon Hill Library from 1-2 p.m.
  • Spaulding Library from 1-2 p.m.
  • Surratts-Clinton Library from 1-2 p.m.

Apartment Sites: Breakfast & Lunch

  • Langley Terrace Apartments
    Breakfast: 9:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.
    Lunch 11 a.m. - Noon
  • Woodland Springs  Apartments
    Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.  
    Lunch: Noon -1:00 p.m.
