Karlston 'Ice' Ross, former bass player for Chuck Brown, has died at the age of 33, according to the band’s manager, Tom Goldfogle.
Ross played with the Chuck Brown band since about 2008. The band posted about the death Friday on its Facebook page.
He also has performed with Raheem DeVaughn and lived in suburban Maryland.
Goldfogle said the Chuck Brown Band will be dedicating an upcoming performance to Ross and donating the proceeds of that show to the family to help them with expenses.
