LAUREL, Md. — A teenager is in critical condition after he was hit by a car in Laurel Monday evening.
According to Prince George's County Fire and EMS, first responders were called to the 8500 block of Contee Road for reports of someone having been hit by a car just before 5 p.m.
When crews arrived, they learned a 14-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle and good Samaritans were helping the teen until EMS was able to reach him.
The boy was taken to an area hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Officials have not said anything regarding whether or not the driver who hit the teen stopped or if any charges are pending.
