HOWARD COUNTY, Mo. — A man is facing charges after police say he sexually abused an 11-year-old for two years.
According to Howard County Police, Dameon Patterson, 31, of Elkridge, is an employee of the Glenwood Country Day School. On Friday, officers announced that Patterson had been arrested for multiple counts of sex offenses involving contact with an 11-year-old.
Police added that Patterson has worked in the before- and after-school programs and summer camps for approximately two years. Investigators say Glenwood Country Day School closed on January 5 due to a state licensing violation.
The victim says Patterson abused them over a period of two years, with the last assault happening in summer 2023. The child then told a friend about what had happened, that friend then notified an adult who contacted police.
Police are asking anyone with information, including any other children who may have been victimized by Patterson, to contact police at 410-313-STOP or HCPDcrimetips@howardcountymd.gov.
