Fort Washington man confesses to murdering his missing friend, police say

Parrish Goode, 23, is facing 10 criminal charges, including murder, after police say he shot and killed 20-year-old Damion Myers.

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — A Prince George's County man is facing multiple criminal charges, including murder, after police say he confessed to killing his friend who had been reported as missing months ago.

Damion Myers, 20, of Fort Washington was last seen April 14 at the Silver Diner in Waldorf riding in the passenger seat of his friend's car, according to court documents.

That same friend, 23-year-old Parrish Goode, confessed to officers that he killed Myers inside his car and discarded his body in the Fort Washington area, according to Prince George's County Police.

Court documents say Goode, "alluded to some kind of altercation that had occurred between him and Myers in the vehicle." The documents do not provide a motive for the alleged murder.

Goode's car was found April 15 near Rosecroft Roadway in Fort Washington. Inside the car, investigators found three garbage bags containing a gun and bullets as well as towels and washcloths covered in blood.

Goode is being held without bond on ten criminal charges including:

  • First-degree murder
  • Second-degree murder
  • First-degree assault
  • Firearm use/violent crime
  • Second-degree assault
  • Reckless endangerment
  • Loaded handgun on person
  • Loaded handgun in vehicle
  • Handgun on person
  • Handgun in vehicle

After reporting Damion missing, the Myers family conducted their own search and investigation and pointed at Goode as a potential suspect in the case. Damion's father, Richard Myers Jr. told WUSA9 during a vigil in late April that Goode had not been communicative since his son went missing.

After conducting searches, police say they have been unable to find Myers' remains. The victim's grandfather, Richard Myers Sr., said their family has been unable to get closure because they have not been able to have a proper burial for "Day Day." Myers Sr. told WUSA9 that the last seven months without his grandson have been the most difficult situation he has had to live through.

The Myers family said Prince George's County Police have informed them that they will resume their search for the body remains next week.

Goode is due back in court on Jan. 26, according to the Prince George's County Court web portal.
